Order book views

1-sided, 2-sided, Maker, and Taker views, the full price ladder, and what clicking the book does.

The order book can be shown several ways. Open the gear menu (in the order book header, or on the Canvas toolbar) to choose. Your choice applies everywhere in Pro.

  • 1-sided (default): asks above bids, on the side you’ve selected.
  • 2-sided: Yes and No shown as independent columns side by side.
  • Maker: both columns show the resting bids (what you’d join as a passive maker), highest price at top.
  • Taker: both columns show the asks (what you’d lift as a taker), sorted so the price ladder reads top to bottom.

Full order book

In Maker and Taker views, turn on Full order book to see the complete price ladder from 99¢ down to 1¢, not just the levels with resting size. The Yes and No columns are aligned so each row is the same underlying price seen from both sides (Yes 99¢ and No 1¢ share a row), and the two sides’ liquidity meets in the middle at the spread, the way a traditional trading ladder reads. It’s off by default.

Hide fractional shares

Also in the gear menu: round displayed sizes down to whole shares and hide levels that round to zero. This is display-only, it never changes how your order is priced or filled.

Clicking the book

Click any level to prefill the order panel. In Maker/Taker views the click sets your price; in Taker view it also sizes the order to the liquidity available at that price or better.
